Big task? Start small. And stay small as long as you can. Let the big burst out.
Want strength? Work those little muscles until they are so strong and tough and energized they are bursting at their little seems and compelling you to level up all themselves.
This is an antidote for the too big, too soon, syndrome that, unfortunately may hold you back from making progress. We all have such a reflex to push, these days. But is that getting you further faster? It may be slowing you down.
Down shift to a lower gear to go faster, with more power.
Slow down to speed up (over longer periods of times and distances.)
The idea is this: too much, too fast, too soon, is not sustainable and actually the antithesis of your progress, sometimes. Instead, careful focus, patience, intentionally building capabilities little by little until the next level of creative prowess bursts forth.
Video games force this. They make it so fun and engaging to fail over and over at level one, that eventually you make it to level two by mastery.
