Why “Heart x?”
x is a map’s treasure. The unknown. A kiss.
Heart represents life, energy, passion, and the body.
x is a crossroads, decision making, and change.
Heart is love.
x is revolution.
Heart is kindness and connection.
x is a name: Lil Nas X, Malcolm X, SpaceX: creative, radical, inspiring.
Art, activism, and engineering are metaphors and models of growth, change, and building.
Heart x is a revolutionary journey to the heart of change.
Heart x is a world we are creating.
Less poetic, more direct: Heart x is committed to putting our mental and emotional health and fitness on par with our physical health and fitness.
In many ways, physical health has become very casual and mundane: packing a healthy lunch, catching a cold or avoiding catching a cold, wearing a helmet when riding a bike, wearing a seat belt, doing your 5 push ups each morning, staying hydrated throughout the day.
The exercise and nutrition industries are huge.
But some of us believe our mental and emotional health and wellness is just as important (if not more important) and deserves as much care and attention. Heart x is about that.
Heart x is about community, practice, and support and guidance–building community of like-minded folks, creating consistent practices, and supporting it all with intentional structure.
